This primarily stainless steel Chardonnay, with a small portion fermented in neutral oak, highlights the pure expression of our estate fruit without the inf luence of new oak. Cool fermentation preserves its bright acidity and fresh aromatics, resulting in a beautifully balanced and energetic wine. Aromas of green apple, Meyer lemon, and white peach lead into a palate of citrus zest, juicy pear, and honeysuckle, finishing clean and mineral-driven for a refreshing style that showcases the vibrancy of Chardonnay.

This Chardonnay is a blend of two distinct blocks. From the Big Rock Creek Vineyard just north of Arroyo Mocho Creek, VSP-trellised vines on gravel- and clay-rich soils benefit from uniform sun exposure and the cooling influence of water-retaining soils, creating an ideal site for Chardonnay. Complementing this fruit is the north-facing Triska Vineyard, the coolest site in Crane Ridge, where constant breezes and morning coastal fog preserve bright acidity.
Smaller yields across the Valley made for a high-quality vintage with incredible concentration. A wet 2023 and spring rains in 2024 led to fewer, smaller berries, packing in more flavor and structure. Some heat spikes in September kept us on our toes, but we navigated them smoothly to preserve balance. While the crop was lighter, the result is bold, intensely flavored wines that are built to shine.
