The Cabernet fruit came from our Estate Vineyards, Block 2 & Block 7. Block 2, also known as the Legacy Vineyard, is located next to our grape arbor, and Block 7 is adjacent to our main parking lot.
After a dry winter, the 2020 growing season began with typical temperatures and normal timing for bud break and flowering. As summer progressed, there were a couple heat waves and experienced poor air quality from the Complex Fires during the fall months. Fortunately, the smoke wasn't heavy enough in Livermore Valley to impact our grapes. The quality fruit produced balanced wines with great acidity, although the yields were slightly below average.
