This is Petit Verdot at its best. Warm and inviting, the 2018 opens with dark cherry, fig, and cinnamon before unfolding layers of dark chocolate and plum. Firm yet polished tannins and a lingering finish of vanilla and cedar showcase a wine now approaching its peak—rich, balanced, and deeply satisfying to drink.
Herb-crusted Lamb Chops | Lentils with Caramelized Onions and Herbs
The fruit of this wine was harvested from our Estate Block 17, located off Concannon Blvd and just south of the Arroyo Mocho Creek.
Seasonable warm temperatures and cool nights led to a long growing season for 2018. The Livermore Valley did not see any late rains which allowed our winemaking team to let the fruit hang and mature slowly. This produced beautifully ripe fruit with intense rich flavor concentration.
