This Petit Verdot has it all; intense inky hues, complex notes of violet, black currant, and wild, brambly blackberry fruit, plus a long, lingering finish. It continues to open to baking spices, cherry, and cinnamon melding into a toasted vanilla finish. This wine dances on the palate and deserves to be center stage.

The fruit of this wine was harvested from our Block 17B estate vineyard, located off Concannon Blvd and just south of the Arroyo Mocho Creek.
After a dry winter, the 2020 growing season began with typical temperatures and normal timing for bud break and flowering. As summer progressed, there were a couple heat waves and experienced poor air quality from the Complex Fires during the fall months. Fortunately, the smoke wasn't heavy enough in Livermore Valley to impact our grapes. The quality fruit produced balanced wines with great acidity, although the yields were slightly below average.
