Juicy strawberries, cranberries, and light red fruit burst from the glass, accented by a hint of orange zest. On the palate, mixed berries mingle with subtle notes of pine and clove, framed by mocha undertones and finishing with a lingering, spiced warmth.

Our Zinfandel comes from Block 21, a small 1.68-acre vineyard located on the west side of Concannon Boulevard. Here, VSP-trellised vines thrive in gravel- and clay-rich soils that retain water while ensuring even ripening through uniform sun exposure. This unique site yields fruit of concentration and balance, shaped by both the soil's structure and its cooling influence.
The vintage was marked by abundant rains that nourished the soils before a cooler spring and summer created a long growing season. The grapes matured at a slow and steady pace, until many varietals ripened simultaneously, prompting a compressed harvest that kicked off on September 13th, the latest start we've seen since 2011. One of the finest vintages in years, 2023 yielded superb fruit with great flavors along with concentrated and balanced acids at lower sugar levels.
