Bursts of fresh blueberry and a hint of juniper lead into layers of juicy red fruit and Bing cherry on the palate, accented by fennel and white pepper. Strong yet refined tannins frame this bold, full-bodied Cabernet Franc, capturing Livermore Valley’s signature character with a finish that will evolve beautifully over the next 5+ years.

The grapes are estate-grown from Lemmons Vineyard, the northernmost site in the acclaimed Crane Ridge micro-region. Positioned on a north-facing slope, this vineyard benefits from steady coastal breezes and a thick morning fog, creating ideal conditions for slow, even ripening and exceptional flavor development.
The vintage was marked by abundant rains that nourished the soils before a cooler spring and summer created a long growing season. The grapes matured at a slow and steady pace, until many varietals ripened simultaneously, prompting a compressed harvest that kicked off on September 13th, the latest start we've seen since 2011. One of the finest vintages in years, 2023 yielded superb fruit with great flavors along with concentrated and balanced acids at lower sugar levels.
